TEDxUTokyo 2016 “VIVID VISION” ステージデザイン

TEDxUTokyo "VIVID VISION" stage

The stage design for the TEDxUTokyo’s event held at Yasuda Auditorium (the University of Tokyo). It is inspired by the Japanese traditional windows/doors, “sho-ji paper”.
The pair of huge objects is placed completely symmetrically and each one is made of aluminum rectangular timbers’ frame which is stretched by a big dyed cloth in a latticed pattern.
Set the footer lights behind the objects so that they’re able to light up the translucent cloth walls in red or blue fantastically.
Moreover, the latticework part of the cloths is put the black tapes on their backs to shield the lights to make the objects looks more complex.
